Mr. Lester serves as Managing Director (Public Assets) at Morgan Creek Capital Management. Mr. Lester has over fifteen years of investment experience at Morgan Creek Capital Management. He joined Morgan Creek in January 2006 as an analyst and was promoted to Managing Director in 2015. Mr. Lester was based in Morgan Creek's New York office from 2006 to 2019 before relocating to the Greater Chicago Area in 2020. During his career, he has focused on a variety of public and private investment strategies across many asset classes and geographies. In 2012, Mr. Lester became focused on Global Equities across Morgan Creek's various investment solutions and portfolios, including being promoted to Co-Portfolio Manager of the Morgan Creek Global Equity Long/Short Institutional Fund ("MCGELSIF") and the Morgan Creek Opportunity Fund ("MCOF"). Mr. Lester led the transition of both funds to the Hybrid Model in 2013 and the rebranding of MCOF to the Asana Global Select Fund ("AGSF") in 2018. AGSF is a more concentrated and direct version of MCGELSIF. Additionally, Mr. Lester is responsible for sourcing co-investment opportunities at Morgan Creek. He is the host and producer of Morgan Creek's HedgeD podcast series, which launched in 2020. Prior to Morgan Creek, Mr. Lester was a Junior Analyst for Sands Point Capital Management in New York. He graduated from Davidson College in 2005 with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics.
